The Porsche 964 is a model of the Porsche 911 sports car manufactured and sold between 1989 and 1994. Designed by Benjamin Dimson through January 1986, it featured significant styling revisions over previous 911 models, most prominently the more integrated bumpers.

The Porsche 930 is a Porsche 911 Turbo, produced from 1975 to 1989. You'll notice that the 930 is a little older than the 964, which becomes very important later on. Despite being a little older, it featured a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine that produced up to 260 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque.

The first 964 Porsche 911 Turbo model - which was sold in the 1991 and 1992 model years - used a 3.3-litre engine with 320PS, but in 1993 Porsche switched it to a 3.6-litre engine with 360PS. The Turbo was sold mostly as a coupe, although there was a limited Cabriolet production run as well.

FOLLOW MARKET Although Porsche introduced the 964 series with a 3.6 liter engine in 1989, the Turbo version, introduced in 1990, inherited an improved version of the 3.3 liter engine from the second generation 930 Turbo. The 3.3 engine produced 320 hp at 5,750 rpm, making the Turbo the world's fastest-accelerating production car at that time.
